Snoring Relief Sleeping Apnea Aids Sleep Eze | | After years of dealing with severe snoring and apnea, we have finally found a solution. My wife has a terrible time getting good, deep sleep since her snoring and apnea wakes her throughout the night. We tried a PureSleep mouth appliance and it worked at reducing the snoring but the large size and the way it held the lower jaw forward proved uncomfortable and difficult to adjust to. The literature that comes with the PureSleep mentioned that you might find relief by sleeping facedown. So we tried that by piling up pillows in a way that allowed for breathing while sleeping face down and it worked. I guess gravity helps hold the breathing passages open and my wife finally was able to sleep for long periods without snoring or apnea.
Then we started our search for a pillow that worked for face down sleeping and allowed breathing in that position. We have tried several and settled on the Comfy Rest Anti-Snoring Pillow as the best design with many useful features for other uses which we didn't even know about at the time.
Another useful strategy we have discovered to help combat the distraction of snoring is the use of a variable sound. We went camping with some friends in Mexico and the campground was on a bluff right on the shore. For the first couple nights we had trouble sleeping as we adjusted to the relentless sound of crashing waves. Then as we got used to the sound we started sleeping really well and we noticed that my wife's snoring kind of disappeared or was masked by the sound of the waves. So you might want to try a wave sound machine like the TSC-330 Wave and Waterfall machine.
