Sleep Mate 580 by Marpac Sound Screen
Together with the Sleep Mate 980A, we recommend the Sleep Mate 580A as our top choice of all white noise machines. Each week we receive dozens of testimonials from satified customers. Many have been using the Sleep Mate for 15 years or more and are looking for a replacement since their Sleep Mate is finally wearing out. The Sleep Mate 580 produces a smooth fan like sound that most people find pleasing. We do get an occasional return because some people don't find the sound to their liking. The only difference between the 980 and 580 is that the 980 has a low and high speed whereas the 580 only has a high speed that is identical to the high speed of the 980. There are two models of 580 to choose from: Sleep Mate and Sound Screen (see the pull down menu below). These two models are identical except for the name. The reason for the two models is that the 580 is used in two different markets: office environments and home sleep enhancement. The SoundScreen name is most often chosen for office environments. |
