Review of the Marsona 1288A Nature Sound Machine

Strengths: The Marsona 1288A Nature Sound Machine has eight base nature sounds which play one at a time. The eight base sounds are: Lakeshore, Rain, Country Eve, Surf I, Surf II, Train, Brook, Waterfall.

You are able to customize the sound to your liking by adding up to eight overlay sounds (Seagull, Owl, Railroad, Loons, Frogs, Hawk, Buoy and Dove) that randomly play along with or over the base sound.

The Marsona 1288A is easy to operate, the controls are laid out well and are intuitive. Sounds are activated by push buttons while tone and volume are controlled by slide controls. All controls are located on the front panel.

The sound produced by the Marsona 1288A Nature Sound Machine can be played through your amplifier and external speakers by way of the output jack.

Weaknesses: The sound output is only mono, even when played through an external stereo.

Close inspection of some of the sounds can detect looping.

Customer History: We have experienced a very low rate of return with the 1288A.
