This Electrolux Electrostatic 510 combines three technologies to accomplish it's great air cleaning. Using an ionizer, electrostatic filter and carbon filter, this unit excels where other similar units fail. Some other models on the market use an ionizer or an electrostatic filter; this uses both along with a carbon filter. Note that the most widely advertised ionic air cleaner doesn't even have a fan so the only air that gets cleaned is that which happens to drift through the machine.
