In our modern times, there has been a reduced average time spent in sleep as life has become more hectic and demanding. Create a sleep-conducive environment that is dark, quiet, comfortable and cool. Design your sleep environment to be comfortable and free of interruptions. Also make your bedroom reflective of the value you place on sleep by having pastel colors, quality fabrics and a good, supportive bed. Take steps to remove or mitigate distractions, such as neighbor generated noise or your bed partner's sleeping problems such as snoring. Too much light or a dry or hot environment can also make sleep difficult.
