Homedics SC-571 Fat Analyzer Scale
We personally use the Homedics SC-571 Fat Analyzer Scale and find it accurate, easy to use and helpful in determining body fat percentage. We like the modern glass top appearance. We did have one fustrating problem but we called the 800 number and found out there is a misprint in the manual. You should press the "on" button for two seconds rather than the "mode" button as printed in the manual. After that, things went smoothly.
The manual warns against those with pacemakers or other problems using the body fat analyzer since a tiny current is passed through your body to measure body fat.
The scale needs to rest on a firm surface. We found that it didn't read accurately when placed on a plush carpet.
Overall, this is the best scale we have found and that is why we have decided to carry it.
